【摘要】:Ground-watermodelinghasbecomeanimportantmethodologyinsupportoftheplanninganddecision-makingprocessesinvolvedinground-watermanagement.Ground-watermodelsprovideananalyticalframeworkforobtaininganunderstandingofthemechanismsandcontrolsofground-watersystemsandtheprocessesthatinfluencetheirquality,especiallythosecausedbyhumaninterventioninsuchsystems.Increasingly,modelsareanintegralpartofwaterresourcesassessment,protection,andrestorationstudiesandprovideessentialandcost-effectivesupportforplanningandscreeningofalternativepolicies,regulations,andengineeringdesignsaffectinggroundwater.Itisthereforeimportantthatbeforeground-watermodelingcodesareusedasplanninganddecision-makingtools,theircredentialsareestablishedandtheirsuitabilitydeterminedthroughsystematicevaluationoftheircorrectness,performancecharacteristics,andapplicability.Thisbecomesevenmoreimportantbecauseoftheincreasingcomplexityofthehydrologicsystemsforwhichnewmodelingcodesarebeingdeveloped.Qualityassuranceinground-watermodelingprovidesthemechanismsandframeworktoensurethattheanalytictoolsusedinpreparingdecisionsarebasedonthebestavailabletechniquesandmethods.Awell-executedqualityassuranceprograminground-watermodelingprovidestheinformationnecessarytoevaluatethereliabilityoftheperformedanalysisandtheleveltowhichtheresultingadvicemaybeincorporatedindecision-makingregardingthemanagementofground-waterresources.Thisguideisintendedtoencourageconsistencyandcompletenessinthedevelopmentandevaluationofexistingandnewground-watermodelingcodesbydescribingappropriatecodedevelopmentandqualityassuranceproceduresandtechniques.Inthepast,someground-watermodelingcodeshavebeendevelopedthathaveturnedouttobequiteusefulwithouthavingbeensubjecttoalloftheproceduresdescribedinthisguide.Nonetheless,theproceduresdescribedinthisguidewillgivegreaterassurancesthatacodedoeswhatitsdevelopersintendedittodoandthatarationalbasisisavailabletojudgecodeadequacyandlimitations.1.1Thisguidecoversasystematicapproachtothedevelopment,testing,evaluation,anddocumentationofground-watermodelingcodes.Theprocedurespresentedconstitutethequalityassuranceframeworkforaground-watermodelingcode.Theyincludecodereview,testing,andevaluationusingquantitativeandqualitativemeasures.Thisguideappliestoboththeinitialdevelopmentandthesubsequentmaintenanceandupdatingofground-watermodelingcodes.1.2Whenthedevelopmentofaground-watermodelingcodeisinitiated,proceduresareformulatedtoensurethatthefinalproductconformswiththedesignobjectivesandspecificationsandthatitcorrectlyperformstheincorporatedfunctions.Theseprocedurescovertheformulationandevaluationofthecode''stheoreticalfoundationandcodedesigncriteria,theapplicationofcodingstandardsandpractices,andtheestablishmentofthecode''scredentialsthroughreviewandsystematictestingofitsfunctionaldesignandthroughevaluationofitsperformancecharacteristics.1.3Thecode''sfunctionalityneedstobedefinedinsufficientdetailforpotentialuserstoassessthecode''sutilityaswellastoenablethecodedeveloperstodesignameaningfulcodetestingstrategy.Comprehensivetestingofacode''sfunctionalityandperformanceisaccomplishedthroughavarietyoftestmethods.Determiningtheimportanceofthetestedfunctionsandtheratiooftestedversusnon-testedfunctionsprovidesanindicationofthecompletenessofthetesting.1.4Ground-watermodelingcodesaresubjecttothesoftwarelifecycleconceptthatc......
